The Environmental
Test Facility (ETF) at FCRI caters to environmental testing needs
for almost all types of Manufacturing and R&D Industry. ETF
facilitates testing of a very wide range of products including
temperature/ humidity & HVAC equipment, electrical / electronic
measuring & indicating instruments, electrical switch-gear
/ control-gear enclosures, Telemetry/ wireless-communication equipment,
audio-visual equipment, new products developed for space / aerospace,
military and outdoor applications, etc.

Test Capabilities & Test Standards / procedures |
ETF undertakes the following types of environmental tests
for influence factors and environmental disturbances:
 Static
Temperature tests as per IEC 68-2-1, IEC 68-2-2, IEC 68-3-1,
etc.
Dry
heat test as per IEC 68-2-27,
Cold
test as per IEC 68-2-2,
Damp
heat tests (steady-state, cyclic:condensing) as per IEC 68-2-30,
IEC 68-2-3, IEC 68-2-56, etc.
Composite
temperature / humidity cyclic tests as per IS 9000 (part VI),
Change
of temperature test as per IS 9001 (part III),
Ingress
Protection (IPXX) tests as per IS 2147/DINVDE 0470 (part-I),
including Water-spray and water-jet tests, Dust-spray tests,
etc.,
Electro
Static Discharge (ESD) tests, Electrical bursts-tests, Electrical
surge and transients tests as per ISO/IEC 16000.
Tests
where controlled conditions for temperature, humidity, pressure/vacuum,
electrical power, simulated signal inputs etc. are necessitated.
